OptiSlaughter: processing plant data management
Plan the chain backwards from market demand, from processing to broiler farm, hatchery and breeder. Register live and slaughtered flock data, manage trip schedules and carry it through to invoicing.

What it gives you
OptiSlaughter is planning software for poultry processing plants. It plans live bird supply and transport to the plant so every shackle is used, and traces processing results per batch from farm through plant to retail. Fewer empty shackles means more of your existing capacity becomes productive output.
Plan backwards from demand
Schedule from market demand back to broiler farm, hatchery and breeder.
Supply chain management
Manage the flow from farm to market, raw material through to finished product.
Quality control
Real-time data on product quality, so issues surface while they are still fixable.
Trip scheduling
Build and manage transport schedules without rebuilding them every week.
Through to invoicing
From slaughter overviews to invoicing deliveries, in one system.
Modular
Apply it to one part of the chain or to the whole of it.
Turn empty shackles into lower costs
Up to
Lower slaughter costs
Every empty shackle is unused capacity. OptiSlaughter shows where that capacity is lost, improves planning and turns more of your existing slaughter capacity into productive output, with around 5% lower transport costs and less weight loss along the way.
How the value is created
1
Connected planning, transport and slaughter data
2
See when and where empty shackles occur
3
Improve planning and coordination
4
Higher line utilisation
5
Lower cost per processed bird
Potential outcomes based on PoultryPlan scenario calculations and a historical customer business case. Actual results depend on your operation.
Turning the poultry chain upside down
Standard practice is to plan forwards. Breeder eggs go to the hatchery, hatch into day-old chicks after 21 days, move to the broiler farmer, and are eventually processed and supplied to supermarkets and catering.
OptiSlaughter starts at the other end. It takes demand from supermarkets, catering and other outlets, and schedules the production process backwards, from the broiler farmer to the hatchery and ultimately the breeder. The final product is planned against actual market demand instead of against capacity.
It can still plan the chain the traditional way. The software is modular, so you can apply it to one part of the poultry production process or to the entire chain.
Ask PoultryPlan AI about this operation
PoultryPlan AI is an AI layer that reads the planning and production data you already keep in PoultryPlan, and helps you work out why a number moved.

Ask
Where do we have a capacity constraint in the processing plan?
Discover
Thursday runs 8% over line capacity because two farms are scheduled to deliver on the same day.
Recommend
Move one farm's delivery to Wednesday, or split the batch across two shifts.
